MS53 Performing Arts – Where Talent Takes Center Stage
At MS53, the arts aren’t just an elective—they’re a celebration of student voice, creativity, and passion. Through our dynamic Performing Arts Program, students choose their artistic path for the year, with inspiring options like dance, chorus, guitar, drumming, gardening, podcasting, and so much more.
Whether they're finding their rhythm on the drums, performing choreography on stage, growing beauty in the garden, or producing original podcasts, our students dive deep into their craft with the support of skilled, passionate instructors. This is where self-expression meets discipline—and where students truly shine.
The year is capped with two major showcases: our festive Holiday Show and the highly anticipated End-of-Year Performing Arts Showcase, where families, staff, and peers come together to celebrate the incredible talent and hard work on display. These performances are more than just shows—they're moments of pride, community, and transformation.

Chorus
Chorus, in drama and music, those who perform vocally in a group as opposed to those who perform singly. The chorus in Classical Greek drama was a group of actors who described and commented upon the main action of a play with song, dance, and recitation.

Guitar

Dolphin Tank

Dancing

Drumming

Gardening
Gardening, the laying out and care of a plot of ground devoted partially or wholly to the growing of plants such as flowers, herbs, or vegetables.

Spelling Bee
