At Middle School 53, science comes to life in our brand-new Hydroponic Lab! Here, students gain hands-on experience in modern, sustainable farming as they grow fresh vegetables using cutting-edge hydroponic technology—no soil required.

Our scholars explore the science behind plant growth, nutrition, and environmental sustainability, all while developing real-world skills and a strong sense of responsibility. The best part? The produce they grow goes right back into the community. Students help harvest and distribute fresh vegetables to local schools, nursing homes, and to our own MS53 families and staff.
